Please, we've been through this enough times. 1.3.57+ kernels DO NOT
use the buffer cache for most file reads. It's not surprising that
the buffer cache doesn't fill much. It is not designed to.

If you have solid performance numbers to state a case with, then I'd
really like to hear of any filesystem performance problems in recent
kernels. Just complaining because the behaviour changes is
counter-productive --- the changes may well be deliberate.
