I had put this down to a general weirdity...

My machine is our "bleeding edge" test box, networked to our "bread and butter" 1.2.13 kernel machine. I
sometimes edit remote files via NFS (in fact, this is my prefered way of working, when I remember I can...
:-)) ). However, just after installing 1.3.68, I got _very_ confused: I'd updated a file via NFS and went
to compile it on a local login. The changes I'd just made hadn't appeared. I edited the file locally, and
no, the changes were not there...

I did see Linus ask for reports on NFS weirdness, but I wasn't sure I hadn't done something stupid. I've
not noticed anything since...

I also access News via NNTP (Netscape 2.0) from my box to the 1.2.13 system. That's not shown any
problems.
