Linux 1.3.68 will not boot

Hello,
I have just got the kernel 1.3.68 compiled and boot my machine but it
wouldn't boot at all it started pouring out cryptic symbols all over
the screen and with sound constantly on.
I have an :
Intel Zappa Pentium 100MHz with 1.00.004BS0 bios and a AHA 2940 PCI with
two Fujitsu 1 Gb SCSI disk and a Toshiba 3501 SCSI CD-ROM.

The kernel 1.3.67 with Linus' patch worked fine and that is what I have
reverted to now.
I cannot just understand why it doesn't show anything but those type of
prints. I couldn't get opportunity to get the output.
If you have any solution please, let me know.
