Same here, but there are many old problems too.
While running 1.3.4x and an old version of mtools,
I did 'mcopy a:\* .' on a Win95 floppy. The results
were completely unacceptable:
The mtools process gets stuck, leaving the floppy drive running.
There is no way to nuke the process.
(well, maybe 'emacs /proc/kmem' - no way I'll do that)
I try to sync the disks, and 'sync' gets stuck.
The floppy drive _never_ stops spinning.
End result: I had to hard reboot to stop the floppy
drive and kill 2 normal user processes. Disgusting.
We're not talking about the root filesystem or even
some crummy /ftp disk. This is an _unmounted_ floppy.
(I want the _kernel_ fixed, I know mtools is old.)
