Well, it's a great idea, but I don't see why that would
have to be part of the kernel. I mean, it can be a separate program
as well. Why waste kernel space; this would not be vital to the
system at all, but rather for informational purposes. Unless
one would want to create a /proc/chipsets or something; I still
don't see a necessity for this being in the kernel, however.
