xntpd with recent kernels?

Has anyone come up with a patch for xntpd for use with recent kernels?

I just upgraded to 1.3.63, and xntpd 3.4y refuses to load with:

xntpd[274]: bind() fd 5, family 2, port 123, addr 7f000001,
in_classd=0 flags=1 fails: Address already in use

It worked fine with 1.3.57 and previous versions of the kernel.
