That is an interesting idea. It fits with another slight error I
have seen on my system since....well, as long as I have been doing
it. If I do a 'ping -i 120 199.44.34.2 &' the prompt reapears as it
should after the call, but when the first ping message is
printed...no prompt. You can still execute commands, so bash is
still parsing input....
I can't reproduce this. Or, rather, I see a prompt as soon as I hit
return.
