I was testing my HD's speed using 'hdparm -t'. I normally use 32-bit option
-c3. Now I tried to find if 'hdparm -c1' would make things faster. So I made
few tests using -c3 and then with -c1. After about 15 'hdparm -t':s passes I
got:
'release: hdparm kernel stack corruption. Aiee'
After that I was forced to reset the machine. Luckily fsck found no errors.
The man page for hdparm tells that not all chipsets can handle -c1. But I
don't think that could cause kernel stack corruption.
