I am running kernel 1.3.40 with sysvinit-2.50
Suggest upgrading to sysvinit-2.50 if you haven't already. The newest
version removes allot of things from the binary in favor of using rc.?
scripts. This is more like the real sysv init. You get more control
over the shutdown process this way.
