does /dev/psaux work on 1.3.42?

My "testing system" has run X windows in a while (it also
runs win95).

I had a serial mouse and it seems to work fine...

I just hooked up a ps/2 mouse, and 1.2.13 work with it, but
1.3.42 doesn't.

When I look in /proc/devices, there's an entry for mouse at 10
(I configured in ps2 when I configured the kernel).

But when I do cat /dev/psaux, I should get garbage on the screen
when I move the mouse, instead I get "no suce device".

(ls -l /dev/psaux) indicates the device is right...It also works with
1.2.13...
