RISC 88000 ... NEC..

Just curious if this is anything anyone has any experience with before...I have
happened to bump into someone who is giving me this machine for free as he
got it for free...

I have another friend who tried to tell me this was an older version of a DEC
Alpha? I don't believe him, but thought I'd see if there is any chance Linux
could do anything with this processor...if not, maybe I'll do an independent
study some year and port Linux to this machine...whoknows..

Anyay, thanks for any info anyone cares to share...
