1.3.36 wedges, too

It looks as though the IDE problem is still present. After booting up
1.3.36 (gcc 2.6.3 , a.out), the system wedges after updating the IDE
drive (the system boots from a SCSI drive). The keyboard will honor
SHIFT-PgUp and SHIFT-PgDn but nothing else including CTL-ALT-DEL.
