bug with pine

I discovered a bug relating with pine. Now, I think this has to do with
the kernel, due to information I got from "strace". At one point, pine
starts getting all memory it possibly can, and when all memory(including
swap space) are gone, the machine goes dead(naturally).

Luckily, I can reproduce the problem.

* start pine, enter setup

* Mark "Use current directory".

* start compose a message

* move down to body of message, use CTRL-R to include a file.

* Use CTRL-T to build a directory listing

* Pine answers with "Building File List..." and starts chewing memory.

Now, from strace I got that the last syscall was to write()
writing("Building File List..."), that's why I suspect something is wrong
with the kernel. I use 1.2.13 and has tried 1.2.11 getting the same
error. Since I can reproduce the error, I hope that someone more
competent in debugging these things can tell me what is going on...
