httpd and pre-forking

I've heard that there was a kernel patch posted here (or someplace) to allow
httpd's under Linux pre-fork children (such as NCSA 1.4 or Apache). Does
anyone know where I can get this patch?

Also, on one of our machines, we're getting the following error in
/usr/adm/messages:

Jun 29 15:42:14 officepc kernel: UDP: bad checksum. From 902081E1:53 to
C6463311:53 ulen 95

The error occurs over and over about every minute or so. We're currently
running 1.2.8 on this Acer 486dx2 66. Anyone know what it is and/or how
to fix it?

Thanks.
