Hi all.. After the crash I had last night, I rebooted the system, and
logged in again on one terminal. When I got home from work today, I had
this on the only console I was logged in on:

I typed this in on my laptop while reading off the screen - there may be
an error or two..

Upon rebooting, e2fsck reported "UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY - RUN E2FSCK
MANUALLY". I was forced to use a boot disk, and there seemed to be many
problems with the disk upon running e2fsck..

This message just goes on and on, apparently until the system crashed. I
do have an external CDROM attached to the bus too. There are no messages
about problems with the CDROM, so I may be inclined to think that this is
more of a disk problem, rather than a controller problem?

There is no 'green mode' stuff enabled, so the disk does not stop
spinning at any time.

Thanks for any ideas,
