This is a treewide cleanup, but in practice, this is touching mostly
perf Makefiles. I am sending this to perf subsystem.

"Mostly" is not exclusively, and you did not even bother CCing the KVM mailing list. We would have told you that we have changes in flight for 6.9, and now there are conflicts in the file that you touched.

Next time please prepare a topic branch, or split the patch.
