Linux regressions report for mainline [2022-10-02]

From: Regzbot (on behalf of Thorsten Leemhuis)
Date: Sun Oct 02 2022 - 13:41:24 EST

Hi Linus! Below is a slightly edited report from regzbot listing all
regression from this cycle that the bot and I are currently aware of.

Nothing really new since Friday. The fix for a NULL pointer dereference
on the arm64/rock960 (f340ed8664a5 ("phy: rockchip-inno-usb2: Return
zero after otg sync")) didn't make it to you yet afaics.

The Turris Omnia (Armada 385) issue apparently needs more time to debug.

The discussion about the kernel change that exposed a iomap bug in Qemu
is ongoing, not sure if a revert here would be the right solution for
now; check the thread for details.

There is a bug in 5.19.y that seems to cause trouble for quite some
people on the latest Framework laptops (
http://lore.kernel.org/all/55905860-adf9-312c-69cc-491ac8ce1a8b@xxxxxxx/
). Apparently the problem is caused by a backport of a recent mainline
commit, but one user reported that mainline is working fine.

HTH, Ciao, Thorsten

Hi, this is regzbot, the Linux kernel regression tracking bot.

Currently I'm aware of 3 regressions in linux-mainline that were
introduced this cycle. Find the current status below and the
latest on the web:

Bye bye, hope to see you soon for the next report.

Regzbot, your hard working Linux kernel regression tracking robot

P.S.: Wanna know more about regzbot or how to use it to track regressions
for your subsystem? Then check out the getting started guide or the
reference documentation:

https://gitlab.com/knurd42/regzbot/-/blob/main/docs/getting_started.md
https://gitlab.com/knurd42/regzbot/-/blob/main/docs/reference.md

The short version: if you see a regression report you want to see
tracked, just send a reply to the report where you Cc
regressions@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx with a line like this:

#regzbot introduced: v5.13..v5.14-rc1

If you want to fix a tracked regression, just do what is expected
anyway: add a 'Link:' tag with the url to the report, e.g.:
