I'd go even further.
One function for each of 'set', 'enable' and 'disable'.
Doing '=', '|=' and '&= ~'.

But then you realise it just isn't worth the effort.
Just type:
adapter_to_pod(padapter)-> SupportAbility = ...
directly in the code.
