Yes, irq pin handling should be almost identical to renesas,rza1-irqc
but the GPIO irq handling will be something which needs modelling.

To keep in sync with RZ/G2 i'll replace it with below and add a line
(select PINCTRL_RZG2L if ARCH_R9A07G044) in PINCTRL_RENESAS

config PINCTRL_RZG2L
bool "pin control support for RZ/G2L" if COMPILE_TEST
depends on OF
select GPIOLIB
select GENERIC_PINCTRL_GROUPS
select GENERIC_PINMUX_FUNCTIONS
select GENERIC_PINCONF
help
This selects GPIO and pinctrl driver for Renesas RZ/G2L platforms.

Agreed will go with SINGLE.

and to be in sync will replace with the below:
#define RZG2L_SINGLE_PIN_GET_PORT(x) (((x) >> 24) & 0x7f)
#define RZG2L_SINGLE_PIN_GET_BIT(x) ((((x) & GENMASK(23, 20)) >> 20) & 0x7)
#define RZG2L_SINGLE_PIN_GET_CFGS(x) ((x) & GENMASK(19, 0))

That was just picked from the HW manual (page 3023). Said that it
doesn't add much value so will drop the comment.

The pinctrl core checks for -ENOTSUPP (for example here
