I still have a problem with this fixed array that can grow for each
driver as new color identifiers are added to the LED core. Not
mentioning waste of memory due to unused colors. This is bad design.

I did try to do the dynamic allocation in both the device driver and framework

The pointer was defined as

The led_classdev_mc structure is allocated in the device driver structure. This struct contains the multicolor_info structure.
