Heh, I finally tracked it down earlier today. Turned out to be a rather
embarassing bug... schedule_timeout() is not the same as
schedule_timeout_interruptible().
I'll get the fix out in the morning, for the moment an easy workaround
is to set writeback_percent to 0.
