and the answer is: they don't have to. tough luck. get over it, mr
software engineer. hardware cost reductions take priority.

So why do you post this at lkml at all? It looks like your HW is able to run without SW or if it still needs SW, the necessary SW is freely available right around the corner, doesn't need modifications and therefor doesn't need a share of the budget.

Do you develop cables or similiar?
