OK, I oversimplified my testcase.

Complex. And I'd worry about added code overhead.

What about

#define PAGE_ALIGN(addr) ALIGN(addr, PAGE_SIZE)

?

afaict ALIGN() tries to do the right thing, and if it doesn't, we
should fix ALIGN().
