Well if that's not it, it must be some problem entering ADMA legacy
mode.  Here's what the Windows driver does:


ADMACtrl.aGO = 0
ADMACtrl.aEIEN = 0
poll {
  until ADMAStatus.aLGCY = 1 || timeout
}
