it8212 ide controller and X freezes problem

Hi all, I have two questions,

1. Will the offical kernel support IT8212 ide controller? 
I only know AC kernel support it now.

The X freezes sometime when i am using firefox, anyone have
experimence on this?
nvidia 7167 bug?
