Re: Ho ho ho - Linux v2.6.10 (module strangeness)

From: Chris Rankin
Date: Sun Dec 26 2004 - 06:51:03 EST

I'm also seeing "unresolved symbols" messages (with
ohci1394), but the modules are present and do load.

The eth1394 module was also managing to grab "eth0"
from e1000, despite this line in my modprobe.conf
file:

install eth1394 { /sbin/modprobe e1000; /sbin/modprobe
--ignore-install eth1394; }

I had to blacklist the eth1394 module so that the
hot-plugging would ignore it.

"pci=routeirq" was used because my radeon DRM module
wouldn't behave without it.

And the ttyS0 and ttyS1 ports are being reported twice
by the serial code. Very strange.

Cheers,
Chris
