Ebtables fedora core 2

Hi,
   I am working on packet filtering using ebtables.

 I enabled all the bridge options at kernel 2.6.8.1 compile time itself.
But I am unable to start the  ebtales.

Plz suggest me how to enable ebtables in fedora core 2.
