Hello.
I have a machine with a MegaRaid and SYM53C8XX
(01:07.0 SCSI storage controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic 53c895 (rev
01))
I have very big problems installing this system, because the raid5 I've
made (6 disks, 1 spare) it is very slow:

[root@radius cage]# hdparm -tT /dev/sda

/dev/sda:
 Timing buffer-cache reads: 128 MB in 1.01 seconds =126.73 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads: 64 MB in 6.42 seconds = 9.97 MB/sec
[root@radius cage]#

Do you know this problem ? am I the only one I'm reporting this?
I've tryed kernels : 2.4.18-14, 2.4.19, 2.4.20 (last release)

But the results are the same. Some friends told me that on older kernels
it works fine, and now I'm trying a 2.4.16 kernel.

Please notify me if u know something about this problem.

Have a nice day.

PS: I've attached the dmesg output, maybe this will help.
