/proc/partitions is wrong

Hello, my /proc/partitions says I have 25 partitions while there are
only 21. Fdisk shows the right information, so there's nothing wrong
with my disk or so.
Kernel version 2.2.17
Harddisk : Maxtor 54098U8 40GB 7200rpm ide
