I don't think anybody has to redo a lot of development in order to
submit Alan small, focused patches. So option #3, break up the big NFS
patch into small ones, still seems like the best option.
All this requires is a hacker, or hackers, who are interested enough in
2.2.x NFS to do something besides complaining :)
