PROBLEM: kernel BUG at ll_rw_blk.c:711

I'm not subscribed to the list, but got a crash this morning with the
brand new 2.4.0-pre8. Hope it helps.

[2.] Full description of the problem/report:

First, I typed 'sync' (remotely), which dumped core. I typed it a second
time to see whether it could be reproduced, but the machine already crashed.

Just downloaded the new 2.4.0-test8 kernel. No patch applied. Oh, one patch.
The new acpi code from http://developer.intel.com/technology/iapc/acpi ... Yet
the ACPI interpreter was not enabled; the 'Enter S1 state' was enabled.
