IPC queries,

Hello to all,

i am going through the linux code.

please correct me if i am wrong.

i found under the directory ipc, semaphore, shared memory and message queue files. The functions available in these files are not directly called by the application. The application writer will call glibc functions which are in turn call these functions.

am i correct ?

If i say that linux supports IPC. Does this mean that glibc supports all IPC apis ?
