[2.4.0-test5]Oops while freeing GL ressources

From: FORT David (fort@irin.univ-nantes.fr)
Date: Tue Aug 22 2000 - 12:00:08 EST

This bug is 100% reproductable on my computer, my Mobo is BP6 and my
video card a NVidia G-Force.
So i have Roger Wolff patch with modified SMP errors reporting which was

ONE of the cause of lockup on BP6(
reallly reduce big lockup cases),and the traditionnal NVidia
drivers(0.9.3).

The oops occurs when i leave an application which has used many GL
ressources, traditionnally 300 polygones are enought. The Oops lockup
the whole machine so it has been caught via serial line. The Oops are
attached with the following .config.
2 things happens, either got an oops in X which cause a second NMI
Watchdog lockup oops, or the first Ooops
is alone with no other following.
As said before it is 100% reproductable, so ask for any
test/information.

ksymoops 2.3.4 on i686 2.4.0-test5. Options used
     -V (default)
     -k /proc/ksyms (default)
     -l /proc/modules (default)
     -o /lib/modules/2.4.0-test5/ (default)
     -m /usr/src/linux/System.map (default)

Warning: You did not tell me where to find symbol information. I will
assume that the log matches the kernel and modules that are running
right now and I'll use the default options above for symbol resolution.
If the current kernel and/or modules do not match the log, you can get
more accurate output by telling me the kernel version and where to find
map, modules, ksyms etc. ksymoops -h explains the options.

ksymoops 2.3.4 on i686 2.4.0-test5. Options used
     -V (default)
     -k /proc/ksyms (default)
     -l /proc/modules (default)
     -o /lib/modules/2.4.0-test5/ (default)
     -m /usr/src/linux/System.map (default)

Warning: You did not tell me where to find symbol information. I will
assume that the log matches the kernel and modules that are running
right now and I'll use the default options above for symbol resolution.
If the current kernel and/or modules do not match the log, you can get
more accurate output by telling me the kernel version and where to find
map, modules, ksyms etc. ksymoops -h explains the options.
