I can definitly say I saw this behavour with -test1-ac7+ReiserFS.
I thought it was ReiserFS issue. I didn't try 2.4 kernels till -test3+reiserfs
and saw the same. Then I tried -test{5,6,7-pre2} without ReiserFS and again
saw the same. I don't think -test3 had not the bug.
