Presumably not - never tried to :-(
Thanks for the feedback, I'll have a look at that "feature".

I'd rule these out; they are working just fine in any other respect.
I think you'd have to look at the code to detect/verify the type of the
filesystem in the kernel --- at least this is separate from the HFS filesystem
as such.
