Howdy,
As far as I can tell, every filesystem but proc has an error code of
EISDIR when someone performs a read(2) on a directory. The manpage for
read(2) says that the error code should be EISDIR when called on a
directory. For directories in proc, it is EINVAL instead. The attached
patch against 2.4.0-test1 makes proc conform.
