test2-pre4 and pcmcia network problems

I have a dell inspiron 7500 with a 3com 575 CardBus card. The driver on
2.2.15 spits out:

eth0: 3Com 3CCFE575CT Cyclone CardBus at 0x200, 00:50:da:56:34:8d, IRQ 11
eth0: CardBus functions mapped 60020000->cc51b000
  8K byte-wide RAM 5:3 Rx:Tx split, MII interface.
  MII transceiver found at address 0, status 7809.
  Enabling bus-master transmits and whole-frame receives.

Kernels test1 thru test2-pre4 (including acX and acXX) all miss the card,
and spit out "cs: timed out while resetting socket 0". The GoldCard modem
is seen properly with all kernels.

I've tried pcmcia-cs-3.1.1[45] and the latest pcmcia-cs.14-Jun-00.tar.gz
beta with the same problems, so Im reasonably sure the problem is in the
pcmcia driver not the manager.

any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
-dwild
