test1-ac22-classzone performance

I can confirm that test1-ac22-classzone has very bad performance on a
machine with very large memory (1 GB, compiled with bigmem=4 GB). When
copying a large set of files from one drive (Symbios SCSI) to another
(UDMA-66, which for some reason gets detected as UDMA-33) it spends a
lot of time in kswapd/kflushd and the machine feels actively sluggish.
This is the kind of stuff it should be able to do completely in the
background.
