Oops! Of course I confused that because ultralinux faq says stop-a is
controllable via MAGIC_SYSRQ in /etc/sysconfig/init (for RedHat).
The faq says magic-sysrq functionality is available through these keys:
Control-ScrollLock - A listing of the current processes.
RightShift-ScrollLock - Memory Management information.
RightAltGraph-ScrollLock - SPARC Register Dump.
... and stop-a does propably what it does in Solaris. (Way too little
SparcLinux experience yet, but the SS5 box I've got here runs surprisingly
well.)
