Don't know if anybody has swapping over NFS working, but we
have swapping over NBD running just fine for Linux 2.2.15 and
2.2.16! We haven't officially announced it yet, but it works
well on our xS+S Diskless Client! In fact, I'm writing this
mail on a Diskless Client with NBD swap enabled. I have KDE,
StarOffice, Netscape and VMware running together on a Diskless(!)
Client with 128MB RAM and NBD swap!

Have a look yourself:

If you are interested, you can get our sources (including
kernel patches, NBD swap server program and NBD swap client
program) from our FTP Server at
<ftp://ftp.xss.co.at/pub/BLD/BLD_2.1/SRPMS/Network/nbdswap-1.1-6.src.rpm>

We are about to set up a web-site and a mailing list for
this project, so stay tuned if you are interested! You are
of course also invited to help us with the further
development... :-)
