Sorry for complaining, but

although I never received an announcement for ac19, I downloaded it and tried
to compile it with

nohup bash -c "make dep; make bzImage; make modules; make modules_install;
lilo" &

over night (my box is not the fastest). This usually works fine. But everytime
you forget to update EXTRAVERSION, I get my modules overwritten in the wrong
place. As a consequence, I cannot use the modules on the yet running ac18
anymore, because the modversions are for ac19, not ac18.

So *please* use a script which automatically increments EXTRAVERSION (I'm sure
you use a script to produce patches). If that's to difficult to act on a whole
file, create a file "extraversion", and import it into the makefile. It's not
important how you do it, but please do it.

Great thanx :o)

Xuân. :o)

P.S.: Keep on hacking. :-)
