2.3.99-pre8 and PCMCIA IDE

PCMCIA IDE seems to get broken in -pre8 (worked in -pre6, did not
check in -pre7). When I insert the card, proper modules get loaded
and device appeares, but partition table is not recognized, and
if I attempt to read the raw device, it prints a bunch of kernel
errors and after some time fails. (IDE compiled as modules)

============
When reading the device, this happens many times:

May 14 23:49:32 pccross kernel: hdc: read_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
