2.3.99-pre8 and ramfs freezes my machine.

I mounted the ramfs with

mount -t ramfs ramfs /disks/ramdisk.

1) df -k didn't show the ramdrive

2) cd /disks /ramdisk; df -k .
   showed the disk but with a size of 0 blocks... I could copy some
   files over but the size stayed 0 blocks.

3) The real problem: i tried to bench the disk with bonnie.

---> freeze. The machine went in a deep freeze. Telnet connections to
this machine got closed. I couldn't even deactivate the console screen
saver. Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't work. I had to use the reset button.

The problem occurred after the test with a 60 MB file. That's about
the size of my RAM. Can't the kernel swap out a ramfs filesystem?

I'm not on the Kernel-ML. I try to track the ML with deja... but, a
reply per PM would be nice. :-)
