I discovered that shortly after I sent the original
mail - still no cigar, I'm afraid.
It says:
autodetecting RAID arrays
autorun ...
... autorun DONE
and lower down I get a complaint that looks something
like:
ll_rw_block: unknown device 09:00
.config and raidtab available.
