Big messy oops in 2.3.99pre7 pre 9

Sorry that this is not a complete oops. It is late and I just decided I
better mail this in since I cannot sleep. System is standard redhat 6.2
plus helix-code gnome updates.

The kernel crashes in boot, I cannot tell exactly where. Below is what
I did capture from the oops.

EIP 0010:c01425f6 (c0142550 t posix_make_lock is the closest I can find,
next is c01426e0 flock_make_lock)

edx/ebx: c7fb0480
esi: c7fb3f0
edi: c02032de (c02030c0 r parport_device_sysctl_template)
ebp: c7f89c08
esp: c1259cc8
es/ss/ds: 0018

I assume all but EIP are registers (from what little I remember of
assembly from 10 years ago). The rest of these were 0.

Code 8b 40 1c 8b 5c 24 08 8b 48 48 83 c0 48 39 c1 74 2c 8b 51 08

The trace was about 5 lines long, so I didn't write it down. I seem to
remember Linus saying once that for the most part, the EIP is usually
enough. Anyway, here it is.

Thanks for all of your work.

Trever
