2.3.99-pre6 : Floppy not working

From: Carl Perry (caperry@archsky.com)
Date: Wed May 10 2000 - 20:54:25 EST

Hey All-

I've had a problem with my notebook in that the floppy driver will not
work. Attached is the dmesg after a successful boot and an attempt to
mount the floppy. The drive does work in 2.2.15 and MS Win98 (sorry,
gotta play DVDs somehow). Also attached are /proc/interrupts and
/proc/ioports. I was getting errors before that 0x3f0 was in use -
/proc/ioports says that 0x3f6 is in use by ide0. I'm not sure if this
is a floppy bug or a PIIX bug, or if it's just me. If it helps, it a
Trogon Q.23 notebook (aka MaxTech Green759).

Please note, I'm not on the list, so please CC any replies to me.
Thanks for the help!

                        -Carl
