I agree, I didn't said that doing -W0 can make journaling to work ;). If
we would be sure we can always do clean unmount we wouldn't need
journaling in first place ;).
I only wanted to say that if you don't mind to get corruption in case of
unclean unmount but if you only care that a clean unmount won't generate
corruption, then -W0 after the unmount should do the trick.
