Compiling a 2.2.5 to look like a 2.2.5-15

Hi All

I have a commercial driver that was compiled under kernel 2.2.5-15.

Assuming that I dont have such a kernel source, is it possible
to compile a 2.2.5 kernel to look like a 2.2.5-15 so that the driver
will load properly??
