i found the problem i compiled the new kernel with egcs
after compiling it with gcc-2.7.3 it is working fine

i suffer from severe lag and packet loss, even when i ping my own ip.
is this a kernel bug or do i have another problem.
i used nettools 1.54 and 1.55 running on red hat 6.2
