2.3.99-pre5 and IPv6

Anybody know what's up with the IPv6 code in the 2.3.99 tree? When I
try to use an IPv6 application, it fails like it use to when IPv6
support isn't available. The strange thing is that the IPv6 address is
up on the interface, and the machine can be pinged from remote...

I'm running on glibc 2.1.3 under Debian. It worked fine with 2.2.14,
so I guess some API must have been changed?
